Statement from President Joe Biden on Easter

President Joe Biden issued a statement on Sunday, April 4, 2021, in honour of the Easter holiday. In his statement, President Biden shared his hopes for the future and the importance of coming together during this time of renewal and reflection.

The statement read:

"Jill and I want to extend our warmest wishes to all those celebrating Easter. This is a season of hope, renewal, and new beginnings. For Christians, it marks the holiest of days, a time when we remember Jesus Christ's sacrifice and celebrate his resurrection.

This year, as we continue to confront the COVID-19 pandemic, the Easter message of love and redemption is more important than ever. We know that many families and communities are still struggling with the effects of this crisis. We mourn those we've lost and pray for those who are sick or suffering.

But even as we face these challenges, we can take comfort in the fact that Easter reminds us of the power of faith, the resilience of the human spirit, and the hope that comes with the promise of a better tomorrow. As we celebrate with loved ones, whether in person or virtually, let us remember that we are all united in our common humanity and shared values of compassion, kindness, and generosity.

On behalf of our family, we wish you all a happy and healthy Easter."

President Biden's statement is a reminder of the power of faith and the hope that comes with new beginnings. As the world continues to grapple with the COVID-19 pandemic and other challenges, it is important to come together in a spirit of unity and compassion. Whether celebrating with loved ones in person or virtually, we can all find comfort in the promise of a better tomorrow.
